Bible Verses to Inspire us to Succeed in our Plans

Do you also feel confused or worried about the future, especially with COVID-19’s Delta variant arriving like a vengeful nemesis?

In the Philippines, ECQs are back in place. Here in Ontario, COVID-19 cases are surging once again. Who knows, we might just go back to another lockdown, too. But I hope not.

So, I get it. As humans, we can’t help but worry. And we know that many of us, especially parents, want to secure our children’s future. That’s why most parents are making plans to immigrate here to Canada. Because here, despite the pandemic, we get financial supports from the government.

But it’s not just parents. I mean, everybody wants to have a better life, right?

So with all the uncertainties happening right now, it’s easy to lose hope.

That’s why I’m here to share some Bible verses to motivate us to continue with our plans for our future. We all know that God is good. And He blesses those who are faithful and obedient to Him. So there’s no reason why we shouldn’t trust Him with our plans.

Without further ado, here are some Bible verses reminding us about trusting God’s plans for our future.

Bible verses about God's plans

Bible verses about God’s plans

“We may make our plans, but God has the last word. People may make plans in their minds, but the Lord decides what they will do.” [Proverbs 16:1 & 9 New Century Version]

“But O my soul don’t be discouraged. Don’t be upset. Expect God to act! For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason to praise him for all that he will do. He is my help! He is my God! [Psalm 42:11 The Living Bible]

“The Lord guides us in the way we should go and protects those who please him. If they fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help them up.” [Psalm 37: 23-24 Good News Translation]

“Lord listen closely to me and answer me, because I am poor and in need. Guard my life because I am faithful. Save your servant who trusts in you–you! My God!… Listen closely to my prayer, Lord; pay close attention to the sound of my request for mercy. Whenever I am in trouble, I cry out to you, because you will answer me… Teach me your way, Lord, so that I can walk in your truth. Make my heart focused only on honoring your name… Make your servant’s life happy again because, my Lord, I offer my life to you.” [Psalm 86:1-2, 6-7, 11,4 Common English Bible]

A person never knows what will happen to him next. He is like a fish caught in a net. The fish does not know what will happen. He is like a bird caught a trap. The bird does not know what will happen. In the same way, a person is trapped by the bad things that suddenly happen to him. [Ecclesiastes 9:12, Easy to Read Version]

I know, GOD, that mere mortals can’t run their own lives, That men and women don’t have what it takes to take charge of life. [Jeremiah 10:23, The Message]

“For I know the plans I have for you.” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. [Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Translation]

Bible verses about God's plans

“My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. [Isaiah 55:8, 9 New Living Translation]

Entrust your efforts to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.  [Proverbs 16:3 God’s Word Translation]

A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.  [Proverbs 16:9 New King James Version]

Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?[Job 12:9-10 New King James Version]

This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. [Isaiah 48:17 New International Version]

“If only you had listened to my commands! Then blessings would have flowed for you like a stream that never goes dry. Victory would have come to you like the waves that roll on the shore.  [Isaiah 48:18 Good News Translation]
